- Veteran Self Identifcation
The Jobs for Veterans Act and amendments to the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act have expanded the categories of protected veterans. Even if you have self-identified as a veteran in past surveys, you are encouraged to review the new reporting categories and check all categories that apply. For instructions on how to check your Veteran status or to update your Veteran status, please log into EBS and go to the ESS tab under personal information to review your current status and update necessary information. (Participation is voluntary; you are not required to provide this information)
- Persons with Disabilities
If you are a person with a disability, completing the online survey via EBS does not validate the presence of an ADA disability nor serve as notice of your need for specific accommodations. If you wish to request accommodation, please contact the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD) at 517-353-9642. Information also is available on the RCPD Web site at www.rcpd.msu.edu. (Participation is voluntary; you are not required to provide this information)
- FMLA Procedures
All Family Medical Leave Act leaves are handled by the University’s FMLA/Leave Team, which is part of the Central HR/Benefits Office.
If you are an employee who is in need of exploring a leave under FMLA please contact The University Leave Team as noted below. If you are a supervisor who learns of a situation which may be FMLA eligible please pass on the University Leave Team's contact information.
MSU Extension Human Resources will communicate approval/denial of FMLA, work restrictions, etc. to the employee's supervisor as the information becomes available and is also available to assist with general questions as needed. We can be reached at (517) 353-9108 or by email to email@example.com.
